How do I make an appointment?
Fill out the contact form or contact me at JenniferSperberLCSW@gmail.com, and I’ll reach out to you to set up a 15 minute phone consultation. We’ll discuss what you’re looking for and my availability, and if we both feel that we’re a match, we’ll set up your first session.
Do you take insurance?
I accept insurance through Alma. Under Alma’s services, I currently accept Aetna, United Healthcare, Oscar, and Oxford. Once you and I have connected and want to set up an appointment, Alma will help determine your cost per session and will collect your payment.
For all other insurances, I am an out-of-network provider, meaning you are responsible for the full cost of the session, and if you have out-of-network benefits, your insurance provider may reimburse you. If you do not have out-of-network benefits, I offer a limited number of private pay sessions at sliding scale. I recommend contacting your insurance provider prior to our session to ask about your out-of-network benefits.
How long are sessions?
Individual therapy sessions are typically 45-50 minutes.
What is your cancellation/no-show policy?
There is a $100 late fee for any session missed or not cancelled at least 24 hours in advance. Please note, these fees are typically not reimbursed by insurance.
Are sessions in person or virtual?
I am currently offering virtual sessions in the state of New York, as well as limited in person sessions in Brooklyn, NY.
